Brasil Impúbere
Misci is a brazilian independent fashion brand which had its first participation in São Paulo fashion week in 2020. Because of Covid-19, the fashion show had to be performed online for the first time.
So we’ve made a fashion film.
The film was about the decay of modern brazilian society as we know, bad use of resouses, and natural disasters. It was a political fashion show, which confronted the fascist government at the time.
The film was shot in a city where the streets have been
swallowed by the sea year by year, this is happening because of deforestation and global warming.
The visuals had the objective of reclaiming the national flag as a symbol for everyone (the flag, today, is used as a symbol of far right parties supporters). The visuals were also inspired by non-academic, informal, street design, which can be found in cachaça labels, trucks and small countryside cities local businesses and the animation style simulates cheap printing methods.
