Prime Video

Gilberto Gil is one of the greats of the Tropicália movement in the Brazilian music scene that took place in the late 60’s and early 70's. To celebrate his 80th birthday, he and his family made a tour through Europe and Morocco, in various cities which Gil visited during his time exiled from Brazil in the dictatorship regime. This tour was documented by Conspiração Filmes and streamed by Prime Video. 

In Partnership with Tall, Piet, We developed the visuals for the series. The idea was to

deep dive in a family trip scrapbook aesthetic. We picked the photos that were spontaneous and unpretentious, that registered the trip in a documental way. We mixed these excerpts with plane tickets, notes, drawings and a family tree that we’ve designed from scratch, in which every member of the family was portrayed with a unique frame, inspired by one or more album covers from the extensive and brilliant career of Gil.
