Chega Mais

Ivete Sangalo


Ivete Sangalo is one of the biggest music stars in Brazil. For the 2023 carnival, she launched an EP packed with the event's most remarkable hits, such as "cria da Ivete" which was chosen as the music of the carnival by popular vote.

O Traço created the branding of the EP including, naming and visual identity. We came up with the name 
Chega Mais, which translates

to come closer (or come together). It suits perfectly the Salvador carnival's mood, where people get together with little to no space between them. This idea of lack of space is what drove all the visuals. The type was developed in a way that it looked smushed together. Also, inside it, the illustrations portrayed the most diverse people in the same way inside the letters.
