2022

Aedes do bem

Oxitec



Oxitec, a company of biological tech solutions, came up with a revolutionary product that can end dengue for good.

The challenge was that the product consists in an incubator of thousands of genetically modified male Aedes Aegypti. They hatch and then procreate, giving birth to a new generation of infertile mosquitoes.

Since the Aedes was the solution, and its image was built over the years as something to be feared (because of massive government campaigns). We needed to rebrand the Mosquito itself.

A series of illustrations were developed showing that the mosquito is not only harmless but the solution to Dengue.
